Promoting a natural alternative to chemical head lice treatments

Report: Introduction (page 2 of 28)

press cuttingAn alarming report from France’s prestigious National Institute for Medical Research, INSERM, published in January 2006, highlighted yet again the potential dangers of chemicals used in popular head lice lotions. And it seems that those most at risk are our children.

The study found evidence that these insecticides can double the risk of a child developing leukaemia – which today kills more children than any other disease in the UK.

The report reinforced the findings of many other studies into the possible side effects of chemicals found in head lice lotions. But as any parent can testify, these treatments rarely solve the problem.

So why are we risking the health of our children when there are alternative treatments which have been shown to be more effective, and more importantly, completely safe?
